Crochet A Dishcloth
December 9, 2023 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
$7
Learn how to crochet a dishcloth that you can finish in one evening! Whether you are a beginner or want to learn a wider variety of stitches, Jennifern can help. Your dishcloth can be as simple or intricate as you like. She will also give you tips on making a good, sturdy, thick potholder.
Bring your own natural yarn, a medium size crochet hook (D through J, or 3-6mm), and if you happen to have one, a big plastic button. The yarn can be cotton, rayon, bamboo or wool, or even hemp, sisal or raw silk. Or a blend. For a potholder cotton or wool are good, but there are no fast or hard rules, except no synthetic, as that could melt and may not be absorptive enough for a dishcloth.
We will have three patterns to work from (easy, medium and a little harder).
Jennifern Falknor has been crocheting since she learned from her great aunt at age eight. While she knows many other needlecraft, there is something very satisfying about crocheting a dishcloth while visiting a loved one, and handing them the resulting gift before leaving.
