The Olympia Food Co-op endores the No Hate in WA State campaign to defeat Washington state Initiatives IL26-638 and IL26-001.

Initiative IL26-638 would require all girls who want to play school sports to undergo medical sex certification as part of their regular sports physicals. Initiative IL26-001 would erode protections for students who are LGBTQ+, students who are struggling with mental health issues, and students who are victims of a crime. Together, these initiatives would erode protections for LGBTQ+ youth, children who are experiencing mental health issues, and children who are victims of a crime, all while potentially subjecting thousands of children to invasive genital exams just so they can play sports.
